El Capricho began as a winery and today wine brings us back to our origins, back to our roots; we see it as our duty to revive the passion that our ancestors felt for winemaking. For years we have worked to recover the same vines that our grandparents and great grandparents grew in their time; old goblet-pruned vines of Prieto Picudo, Mencía, Garnacha and some Palomino, which we tend by hand just as they did. We entrust ourselves to the generosity of the clays and gravels of this land that give marvellous, delicate, elegant, dry wines, so that in the future we can make wines from our strains that will be excellent companions for our meat.
